A small office desk area with a telephone and workspace ready for calls

About Falkeris

About the Falkeris inquiry desk

Falkeris runs a small contact operation at falkeris.info. The site has one purpose, which is to connect visitors with a person who can answer their question, and the team behind it is deliberately modest in size. This page explains who staffs the desk, how inquiries move through it, and why the setup looks the way it does.

A desk, not a call center

A team member answering a call at the inquiry desk

The phone line and the form are handled by the same small team, not an outsourced call center reading from a script. That is why you may reach a person who can answer directly instead of being transferred. It is also why business hours are limited to Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Eastern Time: the same people who answer the phone also read the inbox.

Because the team is small, there is no queue that moves work between departments. The person who picks up your call is often the person who later reads your written message, which keeps the details of your question in one place instead of being retyped into a second system. If your call comes in outside the posted window, leave the message you would have asked aloud and the desk will follow up during the next open hours.

Weekend phone coverage is limited to Saturday, 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., and the desk is closed on U.S. federal holidays. Written inquiries sent on a weekend are read on the next working day.

If the first person who reads your message cannot answer it alone, they say so and pass it to the colleague who can, rather than guessing on your behalf. You still hear back from one owner of the thread.

How inquiries are handled

Every inquiry, whether it arrives by phone or through the form, is logged with its date and the email address you provided. From there it follows the same short path.

Step one

The message is logged

Your question and the email address you gave are recorded with the date it arrived, so nothing depends on someone remembering it later.

Step two

A person reads it

A team member reads the whole message and decides who owns the answer. No routing rules decide for them.

Step three

One owner replies

Simple questions are answered straight from the desk. Questions that span subjects are assigned one owner so the thread stays coherent.

Step four

You get the next step

The reply tells you what happens next, or says plainly that the desk cannot help with this particular request.

The full sequence is documented on the What Happens After You Submit page, including what the desk does when a question needs a second opinion.

What the desk will and will not do

The desk answers questions and points you to the right next step. It does not make commitments on your behalf, it does not book appointments automatically, and it does not add you to any mailing list because you wrote in. If your request leads to scheduling, that conversation happens by email after the first reply, at your pace, not this site's.

What the desk does

  • Reads each message in full and answers the actual question asked.
  • Explains what a next step would involve before you commit to anything.
  • Keeps the thread with one owner so you are not repeating yourself.

What it does not do

  • No decisions or agreements made on your behalf.
  • No automatic appointment booking from a first message.
  • No promotional mail, and no list you are added to for writing in.

Why the contact form is short

Four fields, visible labels, and a plain message box. Short forms get finished, and long ones get abandoned halfway, which wastes your time and the desk's. The team also chose to keep inquiry and booking steps separate: the first point of contact should be a question you can ask without committing to anything. Fewer fields, clearer outcome.

Name
So the reply can start with the right greeting.
Email
The one channel the reply goes to. It is also how the desk finds your thread later.
Phone, if you want a call back
Optional. Leave it blank if email is the better way to reach you.
Your message
Ask the real question in your own words. Detail helps more than brevity here.

Every field is labeled in plain language, errors name the field that needs attention, and nothing on the form is required beyond a way to reply. The Accessibility and Form Help page walks through how labels, contrast, and error messages are built to keep the form usable.

The white, quiet layout

The site keeps a white page, generous spacing, and one clear column for the form, with the phone number placed near the top. That is a usability decision, not an aesthetic one. A contact page succeeds when a visitor reaches a human without friction, and visual noise works against that.

The Accessibility and Form Help page explains how labels, contrast, and error messages support the same goal.

Reach us the way that suits you

All three routes reach the same desk. What changes is how much detail you want to type and whether you need an answer in the next few minutes or are happy to wait for a written reply.

Phone

Best for quick clarifications during business hours. Call +1 312-508-3887 Monday to Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. ET.

The form

Best for detailed questions and for keeping a written record of what was asked and answered. Contact the desk to send yours.

Email

The natural follow-up channel once a thread is open. Write to [email protected] if you already have a reply in hand.

Business hours and response expectations

Calls are answered Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. ET, with Saturday coverage from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., and the desk is closed on U.S. federal holidays. Written inquiries typically receive a reply within one business day; requests that need a second person can take up to two. The desk does not advertise 24-hour service because it does not offer one. Honest windows beat optimistic ones.

The hours above are the same ones listed on the contact page and in every reply the desk sends, so a visitor never has to reconcile two different schedules.

The desk's working principles

Answer the actual question. Say plainly when something cannot be done. Keep the form short, the labels visible, and the errors specific. Reply within the stated window, and send a holding note when a case runs long. None of these are novel ideas; they are simply the checks that keep a small contact operation trustworthy for the people who use it.

  • Answer the question that was asked

Not the one that would have been easier to answer.

  • Say when something is not possible

A clear no is faster for you than a thread that trails off.

  • Reply inside the stated window

And send a holding note when a case takes longer than that.

Questions visitors send most often

Who answers my inquiry?

The same small desk team that answers the phone, working Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Eastern Time.

Will writing to the desk add me to a mailing list?

No. The confirmation email is transactional, sent because you submitted a form, and your address is not used for promotional mail.

Why are inquiries and booking handled as separate steps?

Keeping the first contact to a question lowers pressure and lets you ask before committing to a time.

More answers, including how the desk handles questions it cannot take on, are on the Frequently Asked Questions page.

Ask your question, then decide the next step

The desk is here to answer, not to pressure. Call +1 312-508-3887 during business hours, or send the form if your question needs a written answer. Either way, you keep control of what happens next.
